Treatment Plan

So your dog eats some jalapeno peppers, what should you do? It depends on the number of jalapenos your dog has managed to eat.

If they've eaten a little, the most obvious symptom will be an upset stomach, accompanied by some minor side effects. 

Your dog will probably vomit or have diarrhoea to remove the pepper quickly. They'll also lose a lot of fluid, so keep your dog hydrated by giving them constant access to water. 

If you know they've eaten more than a few slices of jalapenos, you should contact your vet. Jalapenos are bad for your dog, especially in large quantities. It may be necessary for further action to prevent any severe digestive problems from occurring. 

With allergies, even a small amount of jalapenos can have serious consequences. Like all human food, you should be cautious when feeding your dog something new, particularly if it's spicy.
